I share a lot of my own writing around these parts, but I thought it would be fun to start sharing tidbits I’ve enjoyed from around the web every Friday. Here’s what I enjoyed this week:
The Myth of Easy Cooking – Hallelujah and Amen. Brian and I have been having lots of discussions recently about meal prep. I love to cook, but after working all day and picking Coco up from daycare, it’s really hard to get into the mood to make a decent meal. I know homemade meals are the best health-wise, but way too often I say “screw it” and opt for convenience. Finally, I know I’m not alone and there is a reason I’m feeling so much pressure to perform.
IRS Raises Safe Harbor for De Minimis Tangible Property – I’m shocked and thrilled about the IRS’s decision to ease the compliance burden for small businesses.
The Good Dinosaur Should Have Let Dinosaurs Evolve – We took Coco to see The Good Dinosaur over Thanksgiving weekend. Seeing the trailer, we were all really excited to watch it. The verdict? It was ok. I appreciated this article’s take on the science (or lack thereof) in The Good Dinosaur. And I totally agree about the galloping Tyrannosaurus cowboys. I couldn’t put my finger on it at the time, but something about it gave me the heebie-jeebies.
What writing did you love this week?
